Chess960 tournament (June 10) opened the festival program.

There where 50 participants including 10 GM in it.

GM Boris Savchenko (RUS, Krasnodar) lost the first game but won six remaining games and became the winner without tie-break.
GM Sergey Volkov (RUS, Saransk) and GM Vitaly Kunin (GER, Darmstadt) finished with 5.5 points of 7.
